Aid for the Haiti Tragedy Should Be Audited and Accounted for

As it is no shock Haiti is the poorest republic in the western hemisphere Because of that negative stereotype Haiti Perception to the world is one in dire need, but you guys may be asking yourself ââ¬Å"What is the point?â⬠There is no surprise that much of the worldââ¬â¢s attention is no longer focused on the people of Haiti. The cameras are mostly gone; the fund raising efforts have died down. And while a number of relief organizations remain, their capabilities are a fraction of what they once were. And yet the suffering continues. In many areas of the country, cholera remains a huge threat. Clean drinking water, free from sewage and contaminants may not sound like a luxury, but in parts of Haiti, it is. Much of Haiti is deforested due to the dramatic need for wood and the lack of shel ter. So the need is still there.
